when he left her all forlorn

she must get a grip

pair of lovers thought they shouldn’t tarry

hatched a plan whereon they could elope

when they tried to sneak away and marry

Deadeye proved they hadn’t got a hope
Buttercup,
her secret then she told

Captain had a shock and that’s for sure

lovers – they then had their pot of gold

were within each others arms for ever more.
