SYNOPSIS

We are sure that some of our audiences will remember the film of "The Pajama Game" which came out during the fifties and starred Doris Day. Although it is not often performed by amateur societies, it lends itself well to the stage.

The story begins in the Sleeptite Pajama Factory where the employees are demanding a seven and a half cents an hour raise in salary. The Managing Director - Mr. Hasler has other ideas! Also, although the factory girls find the new superintendent, Sid Sorokin, quite irresistible, he soon finds himself in trouble with the grievance committee. However Sid is more than happy to discover that the committee is headed by the delightful Babe Williams.

The audience can look forward to some wonderful musical numbers including "Hey There You With The Stars In Your Eyes", " Hernando’s Hideaway" and "Once A Year Day" which is sung at the firm’s annual picnic.
